We are a small, local, family-run Portuguese boat tour company based in Lagos, Algarve, Portugal.

We provide different types of Public and Private Boat Tours in Lagos such as the traditional Boat Trip to the Caves and Rock Formations of Ponta da Piedade, our mystical Sunset Boat Tours & Cruises and also the relaxing Coastal Boat Tours with Swimming or Snorkeling.

Trust: The Boats
All of our boats provide the greatest comfort and safety to our passengers.
Our vessels respect all the legal and sanitary rules in force. They comply with safety standards and have all the safety equipment required by Portuguese legislation. We are inspected annually and all of our boat tours includes Civil Liability Insurance and Accident Insurance on all vessels covering all customers, legalized according to the requirements of the Portuguese authorities. Safety always comes first. Lagos Boat Tours has all licenses, insurances and permits for the different tours it offers.
Our boats are built and certified from the largest and best boat builder in Portugal (Obe & Carmen, Lda.) and they are the most stable and reliable for this type of boat trips.
Our company Lagos Boat Tours operates with small groups, and our tours favor boats with adequate capacity for a more personalized service, so that our customers receive all the necessary attention and comfort.
Our boats were properly designed for these specific tours. They have the proper size and capacity for the operation of entering and leaving the grottoes and caves, so that our experienced local skippers can navigate the boat with all the comfort and safety.
The ‘EXCELSIOR II‘ and the ‘EXCELSIOR III‘ are 2 small boats measuring 6.16m in length, with capacity for 10 customers and are the most suitable for entering the grottoes and caves. Only this way is possible to discover the interior of the most beautiful grottos of the Algarve, at the amazing Ponta da Piedade in Lagos, and cruise through the narrow passages and rock formations of this fantastic coastline.
These boats are modern and have cushioned seats for your comfort. They use Yamaha 4 stroke outboard motors. They are very quiet, reliable and have very low emissions.

He was a great guide - safe, charming, and friendly. He was adventurous enough for the three 20-something young men in the group, but safe enough for the three sixty- year olds to enjoy, as well. When we decided at the last minute to do another boat tour, I emailed Rui and within minutes, although he was booked, he set us up with a friend, and we had another spectacular day. I went on this trip in July 2020, on the day when we all gathered, the weather was not so good and we were offered to move it for the next day when it was not cloudy. It was very much appreciated because we could really enjoy the sunset with all those beautiful colors in the sky. We also went through all the coolest caves starting from Potato beach, the guide was so good forwarding the boat into the caves we thought it was impossible to enter. I'll never forget this experience and will repeat it when I'm in the area again. Great Staff, great places, best view, interesting stories on the way. If there were more stars than 5, I'd surely give the maximum! Simply superb!

Ele entrou em todas as grutas porque tem um barco mais pequeno que as outras empresas que saem da Marina de Lagos. Ele deu-nos tempo suficiente para fazermos muitas fotos e explicou-nos todos os pormenores das grutas e a história em torno da Ponta da Piedade. Recomendo a 100%. Muito obrigado Rui Pedro!
